“I am interested in art as a means of living a life; not as a means of making a living.”  ~Robert Henri

Forbush Middle School Art Classes

I think being an Art Teacher is the best job in the world! It is very rewarding to teach young people and see them

discover creative abilities that they have not realized. I also enjoy seeing their enthusiasm for the assignments

and their satisfaction with their efforts. Additionally, students learn skills that can be useful in many other

applications throughout their lives. I am always looking for meaningful high interest projects which give students a

purpose for creating art. In my classes, I recognize that making art is not everyone‛s favorite, but what I am

looking for is students who are willing to try new things and most importantly, to try their best.

In May of each year Forbush Middle School joins forces with Starmount Middle School to put on an “Evening of the

Arts”. On this night all of our arts are featured. Performances are given by the joining bands and chorus‛

represented from each school while being surrounded by that year‛s artwork from our county‛s middle school

artists.
