Hello! My name is Melissa Moxley. I have taught in Yadkin County Schools for over 18 years. I am honored to be a part of Forbush Middle School and cannot wait to meet each of you for the upcoming school year! I will be teaching 6th grade ELA.
I am married to my wonderful husband Daniel and we are Blessed to have 2 wonderful boys (Noah and Bayln "Bo"). I am proud to say my oldest son, Noah, is in the Georgia National Guard and attends The University of North Georgia in the pursuit of a Business degree. My youngest, Bayln "Bo", loves to play baseball and will be a Freshman at Forbush High School.
Some things about me… I love to dance, play board games & most of all spend time with my family. I also adore sunflowers and zebra print which you will be able to tell in my classroom. I make it a passion to be girly but at the same time I love riding my own 4-wheeler and getting covered in mud! You will probably even see me at a tractor pull or two since I love my John Deere Tractors (Can’t help it! I grew up in my dad’s John Deere Business that was on Hwy 67 “Cato Equipment Company”). Finally, I love almost all sports and Nascar Racing too!
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education/Special Education from North Georgia College & State University.
In May of 2012, I received my Master’s in Reading Education from Appalachian State University
I have an AIG local endorsement from Yadkin County Schools with Differentiated Instruction within the classroom.
