I am excited to start the 2019-2020 school year at Forbush Middle School! This year I will be entering my 8th year of teaching, second here at FMS. My first 6 years were spent teaching math in the WSFCS district. The first 3 years was at Mineral Springs Middle School and the last 3 was at Jefferson Middle School, both located in Winston-Salem. I am passionate about the youth here in Yadkin County. I attended Fall Creek Elementary and Forbush High School. After graduating from FHS, I attended Western Carolina University where I obtained a degree in Elementary Education and K-6 licensure. After graduating, I took a job teaching exceptional children in a middle school setting in Elkin and found that my passion was truly with middle school students. Shortly after I started working in Elkin I took the steps to become certified to teach middle school mathematics. In 2013, the same year I married my husband Ryan, I completed coursework through Duke University and became AIG K-12 certified.
I am eager to get this school year started off on the right foot! If there is anything that you feel I need to know about you, or your child please do not hesitate to email me.
