Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood.
A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.
More than 1 million people every year are diagnosed with cancer for the first time. Many of these people will need blood, almost daily, during chemotherapy.
A single unit of blood can potentially help save 3 lives.
During this holiday season, blood donation is significantly down. Much needed supplies of blood are not there for those that need it most. Want to know how you can help? Forbush Middle School is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on Wednesday, Jan. 15th from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm in the school’s gym. If you or someone you know can donate, please email Allison Hutchens at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the school at 336-961-6360 to make an appointment.
