Yearbook Overview

Yearbook Class Information

Eighth grade students have the opportunity to create the school’s yearbook each year.

The yearbook staff will meet during a class period during the school day and after

school if necessary as deadlines approach. If you enjoy taking pictures, graphic design,

or working with a group to accomplish something big, yearbook staff might be just the

thing for you. All students you are interested in being on the yearbook staff need to

complete the application and return it to Mrs. Poindexter in the media center. Listen to

announcements at school to know when the due date is for the application to be turned

in. You, the student, fill out the first part while teachers fill out the second half. You

must get at least two teachers to write a recommendation for you. Mrs. Poindexter will

then go through all the applications and select the students she feels will succeed on

the yearbook staff. If you have any questions, please let Mrs. Poindexter know.

Yearbook Sale Information

Generally we have two yearbook sales a year. We have a presale in October and and

last minute sale in February. We order a very limited number of extra yearbooks that

we will sale when the yearbooks arrive in May. All information regarding the dates and

prices of the yearbook will be sent home in a letter and/or a call home. We will also

post the information on the website. Please remember to keep your receipt for the

purchase of any yearbooks in case there is a question, and so you will know if you

purchased one in the fall so you will know whether to purchase one during the spring

sale. We also give parents the option to order their yearbook online if that works better.
